The final days of September in southwestern
Montana - is an awesome time for flyfishing. Daily hatches of Mahogany
Duns and BWOs can be expected. The crowds are down, the weather
mild and the fish willing - what more could you want?
Being avid flyfishers,
Susan and I thought this would be a great place to spend our wedding
anniversary. Considering we spent the first day of our honeymoon
pheasant hunting, flyfishing seemed a logical way to spend our 22nd
anniversary.
When I first mentioned a Fall Montana fly
fishing trip, Susan was a little hesitant. She said she would rather
not "rough it" at this time of year. She had never been
to Backdoor Outfitters and didn't realize it was far from "rough."
I had experienced Backdoor hospitality with John and Pat Cook several
times before, and assured her she would have all the comforts of
home - and then some.
We are off to Montana. Come join us!
