is concentrating on her fly. She knows that as soon as she turns to
see where Bob is pointing her fly will get slurped. Don't blink.
She ignores his pointing, but
listens to his direction. He says there is an aggressive feeder
about 30 feet above her last cast on almost the same current line.
Her first cast was perfect, a
little upstream mend - then splash. Not a slurp but an aggressive
attack. "Wow", she says, "I wasn't expecting that."
You never know how the take will be, easy, hard, fast or slow. Just
be ready.
