are bigger over here (or so it seems to me anyway.)
The countryside is beautiful
in Montana. It's often hard to concentrate on your fly, as your
eyes and mind wander. That is a bad thing to do when you are trout
fishing. You have to have 100% concentration on your fly. You must
be certain of the drift - no drag. When the strike comes, it will
be quick and your response must be automatic.
It's almost like the scenery
is the trout's friend, a protector. It tries to lull you into breathing
in its beauty. Then when you are not expecting it, you will get
that subtle strike. I was taken in more times than I would like
to admit.
