| Our
first day would be on the Bitterroot River. Our guide would be Bob
De Jong . He spent 22 years with the Alaska Department of Fish and
Game before moving to Montana in 1996. A super nice guy and a top
notch guide.
Bob launched the raft just a
few miles from our cabin. He was quickly adjusting our leaders and
getting us prepared for a days fishing.
We discussed options for our
first flies of the day. Not much happening on top yet, but the cloud
cover was promising. Bob suggested we try different patterns and
that one of us try a dropper fly below our dry.
