The water was a little low and a lot cold, but at least it was running clear. The sun was shining through the cloud cover on occasion. Perfect fishing weather.

To begin with we floated from spot to spot, stopping to fish riffles and undercut banks. As we got further downstream, we fished from the boat too - trying to hit little pockets as we floated by.

It didn't take long before we started finding fish.
