The McCurdy trip, Spring 2003

David has been coming out to Montana fishing with us for about five years now. Though on several occassions he's come close to landing a fish of sufficent length to sign the trophy log, the fickle finger of fate has always kept him at least a half inch short of twenty. I guess that old adage of 'good things come to those who wait', chimed true for Dave. This spring, while fishing with his son Mark, he finally managed to land that trophy trout. Actually, he got another the same day nearly as large as the one pictured. Unfortunately, his guide wanted to get an unusual photo of the fish. It was unusual alright. As it slipped out of the guides hands, it just kind of vanished. Congratulations Dave on a couple of great fish. It was well deserved.
